Meet me on Cat Street

Dress - Zara / Necklace - Accessorize / Shoes - Topshop
If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll know I recently got back from a trip to Tokyo! My dad wanted to go away for his birthday and eventually decided on Japan. Since this was my second time in the city, I was the tour guide. I think I did alright although a big part of that is down to Google maps and the pocket wifi I rented.

I gave my dad a quick lesson with my camera before we left so I could get some outfit photos in Tokyo and I have to say he did a really good job. These were taken on Cat Street in Harajuku, a cute street with some really pretty stores. If you're spending the day in the area, it's nice to stroll down the road from Harajuku to Shibuya. It's also a perfect place for photo opps - I saw plenty of other people taking photos. The All Saints shop made a good background for this black Zara dress. I got it back in the Black Friday sales and it's possibly the comfiest dress I own. I also love the bell-sleeves and need more of them in my life - they're so cute. I paired the dress with some slip-ons because I have to wear comfortable shoes on holiday (and most days really). If only I had a bomber jacket and an Anello backpack, I would've been on trend in Tokyo.

Review: 3ina Longwear Lipstick in 501

Review: 3ina Longwear Lipstick in 501

I love a good lipstick. And I love them even more if they stay put. 3ina's longwear lipstick promises not to budge, so I thought I'd give it a try.

The product: A liquid lipstick that dries matte.

The packaging: Matte black plastic with a clear section at the bottom so you can see the product. It looks great, although mine has two dots on the front that look like they came from a marker for some reason.

The pigmentation: *Thumbs up*. I told the sales assistant I like my lip colours dark and bold and she recommended this one to me. You can even build it up to go a bit bolder.

The application: It's got a doe foot applicator so it's easy to apply. The formula's pretty thick but easy to spread.

The colour: It looks purple on the website but in person it's more of a dark pink. It's also a bit more vibrant looking than in the photo above.

The road test: The first day I wore this I was so excited because it did so well against my multiple cups of tea, but once lunch time came around it started to disappear. It doesn't fade completely but make sure you're ready to re-apply it after eating.

Overall: For £7.95 I'd say it's a good buy. It's a great matte lipstick and it stays put pretty well; you only have to check it after eating. If dark pink's not your thing, 3ina do this in a bunch of different colours too.

Review: 3INA Ulti-Matte Lipstick in 600 (Gold)

Review: 3INA Ulti-Matte Lipstick in 600 (Gold)
3ina ulti-matte lipstick
I made the great decision to walk into the 3INA store in Covent Garden whilst I was Christmas shopping last month, a time when you're supposed to be buying presents for other people. I'd never been in the store before so I went in out of curiousity. There was no-one else inside so I had the undivided attention of a sales assistant. She was really informative and helpful, and once we bonded over dark lipstick there was no escape. I walked out with 3 3INA products to try (and review of course) so here's the first of them.

I've been wanting a gold lip product to layer over my reds for a while so I picked up the Ulti-Matte Lipstick in 600.

The product: A matte, metallic lipstick

The packaging: Plastic with a twist top. You're all reminded of 3CE too, right? I know it's what's inside that counts, and I absolutely love minimal black and white packaging, but I'm starting to wish a new brand will launch with completely different packaging to everything else out there.

The pigmentation: Sadly it's not as pigmented as I hoped. I tried swatching it on my hand but it was hard to get the colour to show up well on camera. If you're after a subtle gold shine on your lips then this is perfect but if you want something that stands out more you have to layer a lot.

The application: Inside the lid is the product, and you push the brush into it to get the product out. It has a pointed sponge which I guess works for it.

The colour: Gold. 3ina also do a red and burgundy.
The road test: I wore it over a red lipstick. I put on quite a lot to get it to show up on camera and it still looks really faint! It is more noticeable in real life but I was looking forward to taking photos of my gold lips. It also fades throughout the day and doesn't stand up too well against food sadly.

Overall: It's a gorgeous colour but the pigmentation lets it down. I'm gonna continue my search for an in-your-face gold but if you only want something subtle, 3ina's Ulti-Matte might suit you just fine.
